Car parts

Here are some images from the annual New Hope Auto Show, which started today (August 10) and winds up tomorrow. I have been coming to this show since before I moved to Pennsylvania almost 25 years ago.

Phillies at Nor-Gwyn

This week my Little-League-aged son participated in a baseball camp at the Nor-Gwyn fields, though it was actually sponsored by the Sanctuary United Methodist Church, which is next door. Like a few other similar camps and leagues in the area (Upward basketball, for example) it is a combination of ministry outreach and sports that seems to be filling in a niche for sports 'fun' leagues that emphasize skills over competition and don't require as huge of a time commitment as traditional sports leagues with their ever-expanding practice and game schedules.

The highlight was the appearance of two Phillies players, outfielder John Mayberry Jr. and catcher Erik Kratz, who I photographed back in his high school days playing for Christopher Dock. Both talked baseball and faith, then spent time with each one signing autographs and posing for photos.
