North Penn YMCA expansion

The North Penn YMCA in Lansdale is expanding - perhaps starting this summer - by building a new atrium, a new pool, rennovating another current pool into a family 'fun' pool, adding another gym and rennovating parts of the existing building. Plans call for an adjoining building housing the PEAK senior center and senior apartments on the former site of Lans-Bowl (RIP), which is next door to the current YMCA.

This facility was partially renovated a few years ago - but other parts of the building still hail from the Brady Bunch era, so this will be a welcome expansion, and Lansdale residents won't have to look to the new Harleysville or Ambler YMCA facilities with envy any more.
