old tech
I've always liked the idea of old technology used to do new things...like old 1920's-era typewriters used as computer keyboards in the movie 'Brazil' or those iconic 1950's Philco Predicta TV's that have been fitted with modern color tubes and electronics by some gadgeteers.
So something caught my attetion - this week's New Yorker cover that was created by graphic artist Bob Staake. Gizmodo claims that he used a Mac running OS 7 and Photoshop 3.0 (1991 technology) to create it, and watching this video I can believe it.
